What I’m working on
The last version of my Figma plugin Styles to Variables required quite a lot of work on how it creates modes, inherits default settings, and allows edits. I also took time to fix some bugs preventing users from renaming and deleting modes.
It also hit 10,000 downloads this week, I’m thrilled to have created something that helps other designers in their migration to Figma Variables. I can’t wait to add features to this plugin, especially handling more types once they are compatible with Variables.
I’m still working on the navigation revamp of my personal website that I mentioned in Pilcrow #22, I’d like to bring a better focus on what I’m working on — what’s on the front burner/back burner, maybe re-use the layout of the Burner List, we’ll see!
Thoughts on celebrating victories
Whether you've received an offer from a company you admire, launched a new side project, or achieved a new personal record in Gran Turismo, victories deserve to be celebrated. We often put pressure on ourselves to succeed, but once we reach our defined milestones, we tend to forget the effort we put in and immediately focus on the next big thing.
Celebrations can take many forms. For example, you can treat yourself by buying a game you've been wanting for months, hosting a dinner for your loved ones, enjoying a well-deserved spa day, taking a weekend trip to a destination you've been longing to visit, or indulging in your favorite hobby or activity.
Sharing your success with others can enhance the celebration. Informing your loved ones about your achievement and expressing gratitude for their support and encouragement can deepen the sense of fulfillment.
Celebrating your victories is not just about the event itself, but also about recognizing your hard work, resilience, and growth throughout the journey. Taking the time to acknowledge and celebrate your accomplishments can bring satisfaction and motivation to keep pursuing your goals. So, embrace the opportunity to revel in your success and bask in the feeling of accomplishment.
