Hey there! Print lovers, gotcha. Type lovers, gotcha. Framer lovers, gotcha. Let’s dive into this week’s findings and get inspiration for your next projects!
PS: Some words about my new project at the end.
D&K Origins
D&K print shop was founded by Vernon Dietz & Jim Kinkead in 1964 and has operated as a local, family-owned business since then. They built a sterling reputation for our quality printing, unmatched customer service, and sustainable practices.
Designed by The Office of Ordinary Things, the print promo “[…] showcases the scope, quality, and ambition of their craft while also educating their customers about sustainable printing basics.” — says the San Francisco-based design studio. The usage of Söhne here and its condensed cut Söhne Schmal is brilliant, showcasing all the D&K’s printing possibilities when combined with various playful layouts.
“Lift others as you rise” Nike Collection
Created inside the Nike Art Department by the designer Bridgette Ricketts, this new Nike Sportswear collection showcases Grand Slang and Palatino and good spiritited messages like “The greater the leap, the greater the reward”, “Lift others as your rise”, and of course Nike’s grand classic “Just do it”. Words by Nikolas Wrobel (Nikolas Type).
Framer Community Highlight: Joshua Guo
Joshua has been exploring Framer's capabilities these last months, with a focus on motion, components, and code. One of his last experiments is a halo hover animation on a card. He detailed his workflow in a dedicated thread.
What I’m working on
I’m still working on Moodboards.gallery page design. I’m quite satisfied with the last layout I created for the new index
page, showcasing Editorial New’s variable font and a new moodboard component.
I’m still exploring some designs in Figma and will start on the /interview
page this week, you may see some sneak peeks on Twitter. The next step is to update the website on Framer, more on that later!
That’s all, friends! Have a great Sunday! 🖤
