Hey friends! How was your week? I started writing this edition a bit later than usual, did more pauses than actual work, and ended up rewatching The Batman by Matt Reeves.
Anyway, let’s get started!
What’s up?
I took time this weekend to reflect on this year's debuts, what I accomplished, what I failed, and what I started to do to better align with my goals. Not really the type of activity you’ll randomly pick for a Saturday afternoon.
I’m still in the process of better defining my goals, priorities, and related habits, but I think it would be interesting to detail the whole thing in a blog article.
Sounds Like These
While I spent time in Figjam doing the stuff I mentioned above, I listened to its Lo-fi Hip-Hop music and was wondering who created it.
I came across this great article from Amber Bravo on Figma’s Blog and discovered Sounds Like These, a creative audio company based in London. I like their website a lot and am blown away by their work.
Department Store / After Work Club
I admit it, I might feel faint for cool places menus. I liked a lot the work Girl Studio did with the logo and the typography chosen. The color palette perfectly extends the cool vibes this place is expressing.
Simplexidade
More than the typographic work, I liked the color + pattern system created here, with the help of Midjourney and DALL-E.
Flagship
I’m a big fan of this work: from the wordmark created, the typographic details, the overall concepts of pixels, and the layouts built.
That’s all friends! Have a great Sunday 🖤
